Jeremy Schulman Scholarship 2021-2022

For First Generation Americans

First generation Americans can sometimes have a difficult time through the education system.  We recognize this issue, and children of immigrants can apply for the Jeremy Schulman Scholarship which includes 5 awards of $1,000 which will be awarded to 5 different university students or high school students who plans to attend university.

Scholarship Overview

Jeremy has spent his career as a commercial litigation attorney, and would like to give back to current students with his scholarship.

The Jeremy Schulman Scholarship announces the annual scholarship fund which is directed towards university and high school students who are first generation Americans. Through the scholarship, Jeremy would like to generate awareness of the problems that immigrants face in the United States.

Criteria

Any student who is currently enrolled in a United States University or High School that plans to attend university is eligible to apply

We will be awarding the scholarship based upon an essay competition.  We will select one winner with the best creative essay of less than 1000 words which answers the following:

“Describe an issue faced by immigrants in the education system and how you would improve upon that issue”

Amount

5 Separate One-Time Awards of $1,000

Deadline

The deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 15, 2022.

Winner Announced

The winners for the scholarship will be announced May 15, 2022.

Applicants should email their response to the essay question “Describe an issue faced by immigrants in the education system and how you would improve upon that issue” in Word Doc format to: [email protected]
